2024 'In My Element' Riesling


The first vineyard crew working to plant George Vineyard’s Riesling quit after several months of slow progress. No one held it against them. The site being cleared was situated along a mountainside made of hard volcanic stone buried deep below the surface. Yet, the site was made for Riesling.

Riesling is similar to a blank canvas. The paintbrush is the surrounding elements. The mountainside stone, powerful sunlight, and cold air forming nightly make a flavorful and refreshing Riesling in a style similar to Mosel.

‘In My Element’ is slowly fermented leaving little residual sugar (3 grams per liter) while emphasizing natural flavors. 

 

Style: Cold and slow fermentation. Dry and terroir-driven.
